About RIALA

Our Mission: Leading Change, Changing Lives

RIALA's mission is to promote choice, dignity, independence, and quality of life for seniors in Rhode Island. We represent the interests of assisted living communities through advocacy, workforce development and professional training.

RIALA is a not-for-profit membership organization that serves assisted livings, senior living vendors, and professionals. We are committed to providing our members with the tools they need to succeed and keep them well-informed and networked together.

Advocacy and Public Policy

Duffy & Sweeney provide Government Relations Services for the association. RIALA has worked closely with Michael Ryan for many years. By working together on a host of subjects, the Duffy & Sweeney team understand the assisted living industry and the issues that affect our members. The RIALA Board meets with Mike in the fall to map out our legislative priorities for the upcoming session. Duffy & Sweeney also advance issues and monitor committee meetings throughout the year.
