Strengthening Nursing Excellence in Rhode Island Assisted Living

The Rhode Island Assisted Living Association (RIALA) is pleased to present our Annual Nurse Training, a comprehensive two-day educational program designed specifically for Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Directors of Nursing, Executive Directors, and nursing leadership working within Rhode Island's assisted living communities.

As our industry continues to evolve, assisted living providers are facing increasingly complex clinical, regulatory, and documentation challenges. With a rise in nursing-related incident reporting to the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH), it is more important than ever that nursing professionals remain informed, prepared, and confident in their daily practice.

This training serves as both an excellent refresher for experienced nurses and a valuable educational opportunity for those who are new to assisted living. Participants will gain practical knowledge, strengthen documentation practices, and develop a greater understanding of Rhode Island's assisted living regulations.

Topics Include:

  • Progress Notes & Clinical Documentation
  • Resident Assessments
  • Resident Record Requirements
  • Code Statuses & Advance Directives
  • Medication Documentation Best Practices
  • Common Survey Findings & Regulatory Expectations
  • Rhode Island Assisted Living Regulations
  • Risk Reduction Strategies
  • Case Studies & Practical Scenarios
  • Open Discussion & Questions

Whether you are a seasoned nursing professional or just beginning your career in assisted living, this program is designed to provide practical tools and knowledge that can be immediately applied within your community.
