This session will provide critical information regarding the health care workforce, the impact of low unemployment and high worker demand and the influx of new career opportunities.  It will help leaders to recognize how these forces will affect the long-term care industry now and into the future.  The following topics will be covered:

  • Union developments in RI: Best practices and communication programs to support workers while lowering union influence. Understand the responsibilities of an employer during an organized union attempt and how your organization can lawfully and successfully address union organizing tactics
  • The new Independent Health Care Worker Program
  • The continued minimum wage increase
  • Proposed Workers’ Rights expansion

This session is intended for MANAGEMENT ONLY.  The discussions will be frank. No recording devices are allowed. Individuals affiliated with union organizations are not eligible for registration.
